For example, nearly 70% of the world's high quality (D90) demineralized whey is now produced using our patented processes, tailored to increasingly stringent specifications involving a combination of electrodialysis, filtration and ion exchange. Eurodia has also developed a patented GOS (galacto-oligosaccharides) production process combining enzymatic reaction, filtration, and chromatography, to meet the exacting purity standards applied to such products.

Wine production

Backed by a team of oenologists, Eurodia has developed a number of processes specifically applicable to winemaking, including processes to ensure tartaric stability, to control the pH of musts and wines, and to adjust the alcohol content.

These innovative solutions have been developed in collaboration with the French agronomic research institute INRA with shared patents and are approved by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV). They were designed in response to a growing demand from consumers for products that are natural, healthy, and enjoyable. No outside additives are involved and the treatment relies solely on extractive membrane-based techniques. These wholly natural technologies offer the winemaker many advantages: total respect for the product, little or no product loss, and accurate and reliable treatments that are easy to implement. These are advantages that have been quickly recognized by winemakers from some of the world's leading wineries, in France, Spain, Italy, the US, Chile, South Africa, Australia, etc.

Green chemicals

The challenges of sustainable chemistry are a major focus for Eurodia. Capitalizing on 30 years of applied R&D and on many successful industrial projects around the world, Eurodia has now created Chemistria, a division focusing specifically on green chemistry.

For a long time, green chemistry has been handicapped by pollution-generating and low-yielding production processes. This is no longer the case, thanks to the technologies developed by Chemistria for the production of organic acids (lactic, succinic, gluconic, acetic, etc.) of very high purity. Using a combination of electrodialysis, membrane filtration, ion exchange, chromatography, and crystallization, these processes have already proven their efficacy at an industrial scale for the production of molecular building blocks.
